Baked Chicken With Peaches

Serves 6

1 broiler/fryer chicken cut into serving pieces
1 tablespoon flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 can (1 lb.) peach halves in light syrup, drained (reserve 1/3 cup syrup)
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg

  1. Place chicken piece in a shallow baking dish.
  2. Combine flour and salt, sprinkle over chicken. Dot with butter.
  3. Bake uncovered in a 375°F oven for 30 minutes.
  4. Place peach halves around chicken. Spoon peach syrup over chicken and peaches. Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg over all.
  5. Bake 20 minutes more or until thoroughly cooked (meat thermometer registers 180°F).
